Parents have asked us for more information on Neurodevelopmental Conditions.

The Neurodevelopmental Conditions section can be found under the ‘Health and wellbeing’ section of the ‘Parents and carers’ section of the Local Offer.

The Neurodevelopmental Conditions page brings together information on:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)/ Dyspraxia
  • Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
  • Intellectual Disability/Learning Disability
  • Sensory Needs
  • Tourette Syndrome (TS)

Use these pages to find more information on each condition, how to help, and where to go for support.

Neurodevelopmental disorders are disabilities in the functioning of the brain that affect a child’s behaviour, memory or ability to learn.

The first addition to this section is Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), formerly known Dyspraxia.
