SEND Award winners picked!

13 lucky winners topped the voting for 11 SEND Awards.

There were 184 nominations from around the borough meaning there was a lot of tough competition to make the shortlist of candidates in the running to win.

On Monday 15 May the Young People’s Advisory Group (YPAG) met with a panel of special guests and cast their votes on who should win.

After having a thorough look at the nominations for each award students from local schools and their special guests cast their votes.

There was a tie on each of the Education and Learning Award and the Inspiring Teacher Award. The podium will be shared by two winners for each of these awards.

Drumroll please…the winning candidates will be contacted this week and invited to the Award Ceremony on 5 July at Grimsby Town Hall, to accept their award, and enjoy dinner and a dance with other winners, presenters, special guests and friends and family.

This event is back for it’s second year running after a successful first year in 2022. We really look forward to this exciting occasion which brings to light some of the wonderful achievements going on in the world of SEND.

We hope you will share in the journey keeping up with our promotion on social media and the SEND Local Offer website. We will be sharing the wonderful words submitted about our nominee’s, the stories of our winners, and updates about the event which will bring together different members of our community all showing their support for SEND.
