UPDATE: Comment on the NEL Autism Strategy

Further to discussion and consultation with a wide range of stakeholders within North East Lincolnshire you are invited to comment on the consultation draft of the NEL Autism Strategy, which now includes children.

Consultation-Draft-NEL-Autism-Strategy (Word, 2MB)

This has been co-produced with the Faraway Community Interest Company (CIC) and members of the NEL Adult Autism Board.

We would like to share this with as many autistic people as possible as well as family members/carers and professionals.

We are offering two options for your response. You can either respond via email directly to angie.kershaw1@nhs.net or join an online consultation via Teams on 7 March February at 10:00am – 11.45am. Please email angie.kershaw1@nhs.net for the Teams invite.

The actions that are most important to autistic people are highlighted In green) in the strategy’s action plan, we would like to ask:

  1. Do you agree the work on the actions should start as shown in years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (pages 25 – 32)? If responding via email, please add comments in the yearly boxes to indicate your view and send that back to us with your reply.
  1. Please can you tell us if there are there any actions that you are already working on or plan to work on so we can jointly progress the actions?

Lastly, is there anything else that should be included to ensure this strategy makes a difference and improves outcomes, support and services for autistic people in North East Lincolnshire?

Thank you in anticipation, we look forward to seeing you.
