April SENCo Network update
The SENCo Network took place on Wednesday 24 April 2024.
The theme was ‘Professionals Development’ and professionals learned from two excellent training opportunities:
- A Teacher Toolkit for meeting Cognition & Learning Needs. LEARN SEND Hub – Home
- Having crucial conversations with confidence. Mental Health & Wellbeing | Fortis Therapy & Training
Additional speakers included Abi Fleming and Nicola Chappel, Autism in Schools, PINS, and SPACE Forum, Compass GO, SENDIASS and the Neurodiversity Service.
We spoke to three professionals from different settings to get their views on how our offer for SEND is developing.
Abi Fleming and Nicola Chappel gave the forum an overview of the Autism in Schools (AiS) Project, Autism and Neurodiversity Training and Understanding Myself Training as well as how the AiS Parents Supporting Parents Forum evolved into the current parent carer and schools forum SPACE.
