You may have read about a great new opportunity for parents and carers, and professionals to enrol onto sleep workshops and training.

Parents and carers

“Children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are far more likely than their peers to have sleep problems.

“These may include difficulty going to sleep, waking frequently throughout the night or waking easily in the morning.

“We can support you through online sleep workshops and follow up support to provide you with the knowledge and skills to promote your child’s sleep.”

Professionals can take advantage of various kinds of training that range from a series of short workshops to a series of full day courses. There is Sleep Practitioner Training, Sleep Champion Training and Sleep Awareness Training.

There is training for professionals who work with both Primary and Secondary aged children and young people.
