Help with heating and energy bills is available as part of a scheme run by North East Lincolnshire Council and other local authorities.

A combination of winter weather and national lockdown restrictions means more people are staying at home, which can result in higher heating costs.

You could make significant home energy improvements to your property with government subsidised home improvements, through Lincs 4 Warmer Homes (L4WH).

L4WH is a new partnership between local authorities across Greater Lincolnshire, including North East Lincolnshire Council, offering energy efficiency improvements and advice.

The partnership secures funding available to eligible residents and works alongside contractors to deliver energy efficiency improvements to assist those living in fuel poverty, in saving money and reducing energy usage.

You could be entitled to improvements including:

  • First time installation of gas central heating, or LPG alternative where main gas is not an option
  • Loft insulation
  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Solid wall insulation
  • Boiler replacements

Funding for the improvements is available via the Warm Homes Fund and ECO Funding streams.

Funding is limited and will be released on a first come, first served basis, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.

To find out if you’re eligible or to discuss your circumstances and the funding available, contact L4WH by visiting www.l4wh.co.uk, call (01472) 326434 or email l4wh@nelincs.gov.uk.
