Prospective interns embark on journey into work

This week Annie Cook, ad EHCP Coordinator for post-16 and Clare Linfitt, SEN Services Manager, welcomed the 2024/25 cohort of new Supported Interns at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby.

The programme is now entering it’s third year after two very successful years.

Annie Cook, Lead EHCP Coordinator for post-16 said: “The support from everyone at the hospital and Linkage Community Trust our education provider has been amazing and we are excited to see the progress our new cohort make.”

The interns will begin their journey from September.

DFN Project Search is a one-year transition to work programme for young adults with a learning disability or autism spectrum conditions, or both.

DFN Project SEARCH said: “We work hard to challenge and change cultures, demonstrating how young people with a learning disability can enrich the workforce, bring incredible skills and talent, encourage greater diversity and meet a real business need.”
