Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART)

The Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team is made up of a small team of six Education, Health and Care Plan Coordinators and a Lead Education, Health and Care Plan Coordinator who coordinate statutory Education, Health and Care needs assessments and administer Annual Reviews of Education, Health and Care Plans.

The team is supported by a Business Support Officer and two Special Educational Needs Finance and Placement Officers.

Education, Health and Care Plan Coordinators can support parents through the Statutory Assessment of Education, Health and Care Needs process, offer advice at Annual Review stage and are available to answer any queries relating to Education, Health and Care Plans.

Key Stage Team – Specialist Advisory Teachers for Communication and Interaction, Social Emotional and Mental Health and Cognition and Learning

The Specialist Advisory Service is made up of a small team of six advisory teachers who specialise in Learning and Cognition, Communication and Interaction and in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. They are supported by two service administrators.

Advisory teachers can work with parents or carers, your child and your child’s teachers, to find ways of improving your child’s engagement and success in learning.

Education Team for Hearing and Vision

The Educational Team for Hearing and Vision (ETHV) offer a wide range of services to support children and young people who have been diagnosed with hearing and/or vision loss from birth to leaving school.

In our team we have:

  • two Qualified Teachers of the Deaf (QToD)
  • one Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (QTVI)
  • one Qualified Registered Habilitation Specialist
  • one Deaf Coach
  • nine Specialist Teaching Assistants
  • two Specialist Curriculum Support Staff
