Nominate someone YOUnique
We are pleased to be able to share that nominations are now open for the YOUnique Awards* 2024. The YOUnique awards are to celebrate the amazing talents and success of the children in our care, care leavers and the people who support them. This is not all about the highest grades but is about celebrating their progress, qualities, resilience, skills and talents through the categories that all link to the Corporate Parenting Promise Corporate parenting | NELC (nelincs.gov.uk). Parents, carers, key workers from children’s social care, schools or youth groups as well as children and young people themselves can nominate so please encourage each other to consider and support lots of nominations to highlight the amazing things that are going on.
This year’s theme is ‘it time to sparkle and shine’. The event is being planned and delivered in partnership with young people in our care through the Our Voice Listen Up group. We hope that there will be many of the children and young people who are in care or have been in our care to come along and enjoy the event on the evening of Friday 8th November. The event follows the event last November and we are already working hard to make this year bigger and better than the last one by using all the feedback we received and new ideas.
