Inclusive tennis open day

You are invited to a free ‘Feel Good Open day’ on Friday 26 August at Bannatyne Humberston.

You will have the chance to see and trial a session.

Drop in anytime from 11am onwards where you can see all the different sessions in action.

There are facilities on site, free parking and a café where you will be able to buy refreshments.

Any sport or activity is great for mental health, self esteem and improving confidence.

At the open day you will meet other local services for help and support. The groups that have been invited to attend the open day include:

  • NE Lincs Downs Syndrome group
  • Friendship at Home
  • NHS Wheelchair Services
  • Heart Foundation
  • Rock Foundation
  • Age Concern
  • Carers Support
  • Foresight
  • Parkinsons

Natalie Knights is a local qualified tennis coach at Bannatyne Humberston Health Club & Spa where she works alongside head coach Tracy to deliver a comprehensive programme for both Juniors and adults of all ages and abilities.

Natalie said: “I am the lead for Disability Tennis in Lincolnshire. We are passionate about opening up opportunities for people with special educational needs and disabilities to play tennis.

“We already deliver a weekly session for a group of young adults with learning needs.

“We offer Walking Tennis including people with long term illnesses and conditions like Parkinson’s.”

“We hope you will come to our open day and find out about us and other local services that are out there for you.”
