Help develop a Community of Experience for autism and learning disabilities

Work with KIDS to develop a Community of Experience for all local children and young people with a learning disability, autism or both, and their families and carers.

They will be hosting an event on Tuesday 20 September 2022 at Centre4, 17A Wootton Road, Grimsby, DN33 1HE from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

It is open to parent carers living in North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire.

At this event we would like to hear from you to understand your experiences.

About the Community of Experience

  • It’s created by people with lived experience of a learning disability, autism or both.
  • Directs children, young people, parent carers to support services and information.
  • Includes a peer support service so that those with lived experience can help others.
  • People with lived experience will provide this service.

To help us make it we need to speak to those with first hand experience to understand what your needs are. We will use what we’ve learned to create the service.

Events like this one will also give you the opportunity to met other parent carers and exchange information.

If you cannot attend the event but would like to be involved in creating the Community of Experience then please get in touch.

Refreshments will be provided.
