Free bike project for young people

Together for Childhood have teamed up with R-Evolution and Freeman Street Market, to develop a ‘Bike Project’ for anyone aged 14 to 17 years of age.

There will be a taster session on Friday 20 May 2022 from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Business Hub, Freeman Street Market, Grimsby, DN32 7DS. All young people can attend and get a taste of the project.

After this you can decide if you’d like to submit your application to be included in a six-week bike maintenance project.

Bike maintenance project

Learn about bike maintenance and repair, and bike safety. Young people will gain skills in bike maintenance, develop resourcefulness, and increase independence. At the end of the six-week workshop, the young people will get their own refurbished bike to keep, along with accessories to allow them to stay safe on their bike.

This project is free, for anyone between the age of 14- 17.

Places are limited for each 6-week programme, so applications are essential. There will be a waiting list to ensure all young people who are interested are able to access the offer.

If the young person has additional support needs, please get in touch to discuss how to work together to meet their needs.

Register your interest!
