The course covers social brain development, the limbic system and self-regulation.
This is aimed at anyone who wants to or currently works in an early years setting or has an interest in how the brain develops and how outside influences can affect it.
Not only will you learn the theory, you will also be given practical advice in how to promote healthy brain development and how to support the development of self regulation skills to help with emotions such as anger, fear and sadness in a child up to the age of 7 years.
The new Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework includes self regulation as a learning goal.
