Deaf Awareness Week Exhibition

This year Deaf Awareness Week will run from 1 to 7 May and to celebrate this week, we will be displaying an art exhibition in the shop window at Cleethorpes Library, Alexandra Road, Cleethorpes DN35 8LG.

We are hoping to include and share with the community some brilliant artwork created by the wonderful children that we work with. This is a great opportunity for children to showcase their work and feel proud of their creations.

The artwork needs to be either A4 or A3 size and in any medium.

As part of the exhibition we will also be displaying some inspirational posters which show a wide variety of careers held by deaf adults, encouraging our children and young people to aim high and dream big for the future.

We will be launching the exhibition on Saturday 27 April from 10 – 11, it would be wonderful if you could join us for the launch at the library or if not find some time during the following week to pop along and see the exhibition.

The launch is a great social opportunity for children that we work with to meet with each other.

If you are happy for your child’s artwork to be shared as part of this exhibition please email Katie.Porter@nelincs.gov.uk by Monday 15 April, indicating if you would also like your child’s name and/or school to be shared with the artwork.
