Creative Connections competition

The Creative Connections Competition is open from 1- 31 March this year.

Creative Connections is a competition organised locally by young people from Youth Action group for young people as part of a Young Advisors lottery funded project.  The theme is ‘reducing loneliness and isolation through creating connections’ and is open to young people aged 11-25.

They can share their perspective on the theme through creative writing, artwork, photography and digital options such as podcasts.

Entry forms will be available from 1 March on our Your Voice page as the competition opens and entries need to be in by 31 March, 2021.

There are some great prizes too! One is a chance to get your work published. We are working in partnership with Hammond House Publishing and will be publishing some of the entries into an anthology as well as sharing them online.

Hammond House is a community organisation dedicated to supporting and developing creative people across all areas of arts and culture. Their publishing house runs an annual international literary prize, sponsored by the University Centre Grimsby, with entries from 25 countries and the chance to be published in annual anthologies of short stories and poetry.

Their TV and film productions showcase the best in arts and culture on Billboard TV and heritage and local news on Clee TV. Their art gallery in Louth showcases the work of local artists. Hammond House Writers will offer support and development for individuals and writer’s groups through workshops, competitions and publication. Our mission for 2021 is to encourage collaboration across all disciplines of creative arts.  Read more information on their webiste.
