Covid-19 resources for parents and schools for remote learning

If you are a parent helping your child to learn at home or a professional in education why not look at these Covid-19 remote learning resources from the Education Endowment Foundation.

There are several plans to help you plan your work at home or at school.

“The most effective learners can self-regulate and organise their approach to learning.

“Metacognitive strategies can be taught, and are particular powerful when they are subject specific.”

The Planning framework will help your child structure their learning to open up ideas, describe them in their own words, practice them, reflect on them, and then revisit them to root them in their memory.

Theses simple plans come with examples of online tasks your child could use to practice.

There is also a blank template for your child to fill in with typical tasks they do as well as a framework that has been filled in to see if they’re on the right track.

There are also blog posts and videos to help plan and keep a daily learning routine, tips to help you support them to read, and an infographic for the simple home learning T.R.U.S.T technique.

The site has additional resources for schools to help children learn at home, planning guide, tutoring programme, evidence based plans, and information on early years support.
