Carers Week 2021

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring.

It brings to light the growing number of carers, young and old across the country and the enormous impact they have in our communities.

The campaign highlights the love, dedication, and challenges unpaid carers have and also raises awareness of the rights and resources that can help them care for themselves while caring for others.

In a household with a child or children with SEND there may be many faces to the caring role. Parents may be carers to both the child and to their own parents. Brothers and sisters may be carers to the child with SEND and also the parents, helping with household tasks, medication and more.

Follow the campaign on social media with the hashtag #CarersWeek2021.
