Midwives, health visitors and school nurses
From the moment you find out you are pregnant your life is going to change. Our aim is to work in partnership with you and your family throughout your pregnancy, birth and afterwards, to offer you all of the services and support you will need. Our dedicated team of staff offer a range of services both in hospital and out in the community.
Health Visiting Service (0 to 5 years)
The Health Visiting service is available to all families in North East Lincolnshire who are expecting a baby, have a new born or a child up to the age of 5.
Your midwife will let us know about your pregnancy and a health visitor, who is a registered nurse or midwife who have been trained in public health, will provide advice and support at this important time for you and your child.
Being a parent can be wonderful but worrying all at the same time, what happens during pregnancy and in the first years of your child’s life will shape their future as this stage has the most development changes. Without help, small problems may become bigger problems. We have found that help early on make the biggest difference to children and families.
The Health Visiting service can support you from the point in time a concern is raised by yourself or with your consent by another professional, in relation to your child’s progression / development – pre-birth to 4 ½ years. You can ring the service at any point – you don’t need to wait until their next developmental review is due – and ask to talk to a Health Visitor about your child’s development. We will arrange for a Health Visitor to contact you to listen to your concerns and then plan together a way forward for what you would like to see happen for your child.
You can contact the service by phone on 01472 323660 or by email at email@example.com.
